Food for thought: http://dr-rieux.livejournal.com/8376.html
(okay, it's a long, rambling, multi-course meal from an atheist who doesn't believe UUism is religious by nature, but it has some interesting flavors).

My first thoughts )

Just another night in Paradise... )

In not-unrelated news, the God Auction is done for 2007. Apollo did not win, but came in a very respectable 2nd, and still made some...well, impressions I think with some of his ideas. And the overall total in both food and money donations was massively increased, so that's definitely a success. More pictures can be found here and here, but my favorite is this one:

And now, work.

...but it might make you stumble from time to time.

Friday is short )

Saturday is very long )

Still got Sunday to deal with... )

And that's what I did on my summer vacation. The End. (except, of course, that this is only one weekend, and not even one of the three planned summer vacations)
triadruid: A cartoon panel of Felix from the webcomic Queen of Wands, but with blond hair and a confused expression on his face. (david as felix from QOW)
This morning's dream was a real doozy; something about Unitarian Universalists in boxing matches (the UU in question was tall and skinny, a bit like Jonathan Crane or a bodak, but friendlier) against Mike Tyson lookalikes. Against the odds, the UU seemed to be winning, which led me to concern that the fight had been rigged (I wasn't entirely clear on what my role in the whole affair was).

But then most of that became sidelined by Captain Jack Sparrow, who seemed to be strapped to a long spine board, only it wasn't quite long enough so he ran and jumped out of a window, rolled out of it (sort of), and went to harass some guy shilling cheap plastic crap on the other side of the street. I got the impression he wasn't actually hurt, but maybe just strapped to the thing to try to keep him out of trouble (vainly, obviously). Somehow the back board had "extensions" that came out of the top when he loomed over the guy on the street, giving him the appearance of a plywood cobra.

At about which point [livejournal.com profile] kittenpants woke up with her own nightmare, and I lost the thread... such as it was.
