So tonight's party (for the celebration of the inestimable [livejournal.com profile] featherynscale's original birth) is entitled, "Get Bent", in honor of mucking around with gender roles. The original supposition was that guys would dress as girls, and vice versa. Obviously, in our crowd, there are numerous questions that come up with so simplistic a directive, so some people will just be "playing against type" from what they usually would wear.

Unfortunately, while the reigning thematic idea for me involves a Catholic schoolgirl outfit, I happen to think I make a hideous schoolgirl, especially with the goatee and all. I could shave, but that ups [livejournal.com profile] kittenpants ex-boyfriend reminisces to a somewhat unhealthy degree. So I'm still thinking about options, and you've got *hours* with which to help me. Party starts at 8, my time. We'll be going to dinner (at a restaurant which has already proven itself to be indefatigable through our antics), and then to Missy B's, a gay/fetish club (I'm not entirely clear on their clientele, but it mostly seems to involve gay men and/or leather).

Problem is, if I wear the miniskirt/schoolgirl outfit, my legs are hairy enough (though blond, so only under certain lighting) to give me away...

In jeans, with my hair down, I've given guys that exact reaction before. Amuses anyone I'm walking with (since I can't see them behind me). But jeans aren't exactly playing against type...

Actually, Missy B's is dark enough nobody will see your legs.
