Yes, I voted. Now what?
Nov. 2nd, 2004 09:15 amFrom the Kansas City Star's Lisa Gutierrez, here's a game for the election coverage tonight. Follow the instructions every time you hear these phrases:
- “Too close to call”: Run outside and remove one yard sign. From your own yard.
- “Spin”: Stomp on the floor twice.
- “Florida”: Change the channel.
- “Swing state”: Do the wave.
- “Swift boat”: Scream like Howard Dean.
- “Trial lawyers”: Take a sip of the beverage of your choice.
- “Dick”: Scowl like Dick Cheney.
- “Exit polls”: Clap three times in unison.
- “Teresa” (and it must be pronounced correctly): Fluff your hair.
- “White House”: Do a quick do-si-do with a supporter of the other party. Remember, we're all in this together.

Date: 2004-11-02 08:56 pm (UTC)weekendweekmonthI'm right there with ya. The one thing that working KCRF does for me that's bad is lower my socializing threshold. I had a perfectly wonderful time being a hermit and puttering around my house last weekend. I certainly wasn't fit company for much of anyone.
My plans for tonight consist of getting groceries and working alone on some stuff that has been languishing for a while. (and occasionally yelling at the TV)

All of these exit polls regarding who will end up in the White House. And if Florida screws this up again this year, they might end up maimed. But if it's too close to call like it was last time, I say we ask Queen Elizabeth to take over. *nodsnods*
*reviews that paragraph* *does a do-si-do with the yard sign he stole while clapping in unison to changing the channel*
