From a spoiler-free review on Dragonmount.com:
"I was surprised when the first plot thread was completed. I thought to myself, "Will I ever read about this person again? Could it actually be possible that I've read their entire story now?" I stopped thinking that to myself by the time Jordan wrapped up his 4th or 5th plot line. Then more story lines got wrapped up, at least to the extent where I don't need to hear about a certain character again without feeling cheated. All of the major plot lines advance. Some are completed."
Thank the Light! Really.

And apparently it's good, too.

WHHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!

OK. I'm done now. Is that freaking book coming out any time in the near future?

And do you think you could see your way to also becoming a George R.R. Martin fan, so I could yell to you about that, too?

Comes out Oct. 11th

As for George "R.R." Martin, you know my rule about unfinished series. That's the Song of Ice and Fire guy, right?

But...but.... *pouts*.
I'm crushed.

I did get to use the Graendal icon, though. *brightens*

*grin* It'll be on the list, once I know there's a whole series in there. I won't even read Turtledove's unfinished series right now.

In other news, you get to go home in half an hour. I can tell you're thrilled.

I am thrilled.
And [livejournal.com profile] kittenpants is taking over my class tonight, so I'm even more thrilled about that.
I see a hot bath in my future, and a bed.

Ooh- Me first!

WoT inspires me in strange ways. If i were to join a WoT MUD, it would be to torture everyone in the most sadistic ways possible. Since around book 5 (heresy, i know; it's Darren's favorite), i've been wanting everyone on Rand's side to die horrible, grisly deaths and i've been rooting for the black-hats.
Still, i think i read up to book 7 or 8 (whichever one it was, i didn't actually finish the last one i read) and maybe if he ever finishes it, i'd think about borrowing them from the library to read. The overwhelming feeling that he's just been drawing it out to milk the profits keeps me from wanting to buy even used copies of them. =/
I know this whole WoT aversion makes me a freak and totally not Vineyard-worthy, but...
