You are 46 %Treasurer, have 55% Seafairability, crave 42% Bloodlusting, and lust 52% in Wenchwanting!
Captain Condent, you tricky beast! You only sail for the sake of sailing. And for the women. Most of your plunder you generously gave to your crew, and you rarely engaged in killing, preferring to let your mates or your ship's guns have all the fun. However your lack of skill in these two departments may have been your salvation... You were pardoned by the King of France and married off to a beautiful French Governor's daughter; the stuff pirate dreams are made of!

Speaking of pirates, I saw the strangest thing on the way into work this morning. I pulled into the parking garage and saw a man carrying:
  • a can of Behr paint;
  • a prosthetic arm;
  • a prosthetic foot (not a whole leg, just a foot).
Please note that this gentleman was wearing a nice suit, had all of his requisite limbs, and was just carrying them loosely, as if there were nothing out of the ordinary. I might have thought it less odd if he hadn't been coming from City Hall...

Are you sure they were prosthetics, and not, say, mannequin parts? (Not to imply that would be any less weird.)

Well, I didn't get a good look because I was headed to the elevator, but they *seemed* to be ... squishy. Not hard wood/plastic, like you'd expect a manequin.

Wait a minute. Foo Fighters has a cover of "Darling Nikki" out? Must...obtain...music....

It's actually fairly awful, in my estimation. Dave Grohl screams a lot (and coming from me, that means something). But then, I like the Prince version, so I don't know what your feelings are about that. The verses are not bad and the lyrics are (almost?) identical, but the musical interludes are less technically proficient, and ... he screams for no obvious reason. :/

I think 96.5 was playing it this time around...

I very much <3 the original and even have it on vinyl somewhere in my parents' den...maybe. Maybe I oughta try to find it again. 'Twas a lot of fun to be 15 and known to the world as Nikki at the time it came out. (not)

Good times, good times.

*laugh* I'll bet...I'm sure it says something about my upbringing that I'd never heard the song (to my knowledge) until I bought Prince's Greatest Hits. If you like, I can burn you a copy until you find your plastic version.

If you're still up, give us a call, will you? I've failed to call you back about Beltaine, which [livejournal.com profile] kittenpants said you wanted to chat about... if not, tomorrow night will do.

Aaaaarrrrggghh!!! I had to jump on board with that pirate quiz. Found I was a privateer (big surprise). Nothing like sanctioned mayhem!

Aye, signed by the King of America himself. Always looking to serve a better crown though.

Emperor Norton? And you're looking for other employment? You couldn't hope to serve a finer man than him, gods rest his weird old soul.

I know nothing of this Norton nave, the man I reluctantly serve is that dastardly shrub. This fair land has been in the clutches of his dynasty for far too long, but there's no real end to that in sight. The very minute the current arse hole steps down his backscratching brother will take his place. Yet as it is he that signs me writ it'll be for him I sail for the time being.
