triadruid: Missouri Conservation Department's deer logo plate, with the word "DRAOI" on it (druidmobile)

If it's any indication of how busy I've been, I spent a good portion of Tuesday thinking it was Friday. My goal for the next three days was to manage to sit down at my desk before 2pm. I succeeded today, but only partially because we had a tour coming up to our office at 10:30, that did not occur. Which is okay, since my desk is still buried in strata of paperwork.

However, I have gotten a lot done (and there's a lot left to do, of course). On the home front, [livejournal.com profile] featherynscale and [livejournal.com profile] zylch tore open the basement wall on Tuesday to figure where our leak was coming from. More on that as we know more, but at least we know it's not welling up from the floor...

My car door continues to be broken right now, but I have a replacement coming from a salvage yard either tomorrow or Sunday. Anyone who wants to come over this weekend or has Monday off and help me replace it (I'm picking up a Chilton's guide tomorrow, too) will be welcomed with hot tea and other rewards as bartered for. Unsurprisingly, the door will not be red, but he thinks it might be green. This makes the likelihood of us redecorating the car ever more likely. I'm wandering between plaid, Book of Kells, or Celtic warhorse at the moment. Too many colors is almost enough... that project will probably not happen until the weather dries out and warms up, however. Artistic submissions will be accepted, of course, if anyone feels inclined toward such behavior.

My computer remains in limbo-upgrade state, and some minor house cleaning will probably happen this weekend but nothing on the scale of what it needs or I want. Never enough hours in the day. I did take last night "off" though and vegged out to Disney's travesty version of The Black Cauldron. All it really did was make me *itch* to actually re-read the Lloyd Alexander books, though I suspect I might be disappointed in those too. The movie was from the Forgotten Period™ of Disney flicks, and really should remain there. [livejournal.com profile] malvito will probably disagree with me.

Soon it'll be time to brave the Friday traffic home. As the car license plate that I saw yesterday said:
CIAO

I might be able to help this weekend seeing as how I am home "sick". Didn't get the rum in me (suppose I could go do that now...) but am feeling less poundy. Monday I've got all the girls so that might be a bit tough.
