And now if you'll excuse me, I have to go put ointment on my new 4" tattoo.

More photos can be found here. The red 'flames' you see are actually greywork mist, the skin's just enflamed from the procedure. I did not "cry like a little girl", as
featherynscale was wondering, but it does hurt quite a bit more over the bone of the shoulder. To me, the three/four-needle process of filling was fascinating;
kittenpants did not turn green *once*, which I'm very impressed with. We told her to just think of it as subdermal art, and nevermind the delivery method. :)
Obviously it's a little tender right now. Be glad we didn't have the camera in the shop (Triple Crown in Westport): I may heal quickly, but I bleed like a sonofabitch initially.

Date: 2004-11-27 06:54 pm (UTC)what's the wild hare protogrove? if it's about the Sacred Bunny Mysteries, I'm down. (see my lavendar bunny labs pet to verify)
WH protogrove
Date: 2004-11-29 05:41 pm (UTC)The whole point of the name and approach was to keep the grove from taking itself too seriously. See the pictures page on the website if you have any doubts how we're doing on that score...

Ok, not likely my cheap ass will do something like that, but it's a thought. ;-)

Well, except for the whole weekend playing in the mud... but that wasn't voluntary. ;-)

Date: 2004-11-30 10:55 pm (UTC)Take your time. Unless you've just been chicken about *getting* the design you've always wanted, make sure you really want *that* design. I've been working on mine for ~4-5 years, and it modified only slightly over that period of the (went from one ouroborus to four, and added color). Even still I waited close to a year for that final design to really ensure it was the right one for me; the guideline is to post your 'final' design in your house/office for a year. If you're not tired of looking at it after all that time, it's probably a good design to mark permanently on your body. ;)
So, what brought you over to my corner of the machine, anyway?
