And now if you'll excuse me, I have to go put ointment on my new 4" tattoo.

More photos can be found here. The red 'flames' you see are actually greywork mist, the skin's just enflamed from the procedure. I did not "cry like a little girl", as [livejournal.com profile] featherynscale was wondering, but it does hurt quite a bit more over the bone of the shoulder. To me, the three/four-needle process of filling was fascinating; [livejournal.com profile] kittenpants did not turn green *once*, which I'm very impressed with. We told her to just think of it as subdermal art, and nevermind the delivery method. :)

Obviously it's a little tender right now. Be glad we didn't have the camera in the shop (Triple Crown in Westport): I may heal quickly, but I bleed like a sonofabitch initially.

ooo sexy

Not sure what the Sacred Bunny Mysteries are, but Wild Hare is the newly formed/forming ADF grove/unit/group/hive of insanity in the Kansas City metro area. Several of us are here on LJ, including your darling [livejournal.com profile] featherynscale, who has not yet decided to wake up a druid, but is soemwhat of a mascot/token Wiccan/constant heckler.

The whole point of the name and approach was to keep the grove from taking itself too seriously. See the pictures page on the website if you have any doubts how we're doing on that score...

i tried baby but the pix did not reveal themselves to me. Altho I wouldn't claim thema a Totem, I really dig rabbits as emblematic of magick and can geek out on their significance in lore & pop culture for hours. how did you arrive at this name???

okay i see the pix now. sweet. much good luck in this endeavor. and kiss my darling Corbinadae please.

Ooo, lovely. You've got some tattoo goo, I hope? That's the stuff that kept me from getting any holes in mine while it was healing, even with all the narrow linework. That, and a supreme effort of self-control to resist the itching itching itching.

itching has not set in yet...

...but I do keep hearing about it. And yes, I'm slathering it up frequently with something called A + D, which smells suspiciously like baby ass, i.e. Desitin.

But clean baby ass, which is important.

Wow

It's even more fantastic than I thought it would be! Can't wait to see it healed.

Happy Oldness!

Sweet!

I wanna go back again. Although next time I want to hock a Kidney and get something done at Freaks because they are like the Mercedes Benz of Tattos from what I have seen/heard.

Ok, not likely my cheap ass will do something like that, but it's a thought. ;-)

Maybe; [livejournal.com profile] featherynscale got her last one done at Freaks, and was with me for this one, and said she's probably going to TC for her next. He's (Brad Frantzen) very quick and efficient, although he does sling the ink around like it's water (I was red, green, and blue from my elbow to my sternum after the procedure). I'll probably have to go back for a few touch-ups on spots that are irregularly colored (probably because I was bleeding pretty good at the time).

All's well so far though...I'll show it to you soon, when next I see you. Or probably keep the photo gallery up-to-date as well.

When next you see me?

Kris Kinder possibly... I don't get out much anymore.

Well, except for the whole weekend playing in the mud... but that wasn't voluntary. ;-)

killer tattoo! Maybe I will do something crazy for my 30th in January! I would love a tattoo and have been talking about it for years but have been too chicken!

Well, you haven't got much time... but then again I'll pass on the advice I got, which turned out to be very good in the long run:

Take your time. Unless you've just been chicken about *getting* the design you've always wanted, make sure you really want *that* design. I've been working on mine for ~4-5 years, and it modified only slightly over that period of the (went from one ouroborus to four, and added color). Even still I waited close to a year for that final design to really ensure it was the right one for me; the guideline is to post your 'final' design in your house/office for a year. If you're not tired of looking at it after all that time, it's probably a good design to mark permanently on your body. ;)

So, what brought you over to my corner of the machine, anyway?
