Superhero dreams?

Woke up this morning from a sort of odd dream about being Superman sans powers, fighting Lex Luthor in a curio shop. Apparently LL had done something (magic?) involving a stone dagger (I had thought jade but perhaps kryptonite, or a combination) that made me lose my poowers, so we were reduced to hand-to-hand combat. Unfortunately for him, I found a sword and he was left bringing a dagger to a swordfight. Didn't end well for him, although it was sort of a sneaky maneuver to kill him (came from behind a curio case to stab him in the lung). At or around that point I woke up.

Curiously, Lex was wearing a bright purple suit, which made me think of the Joker, but he wasn't. featherynscale informs me that LL has in fact worn a purple suit before, so maybe that's unremarkable. She was more interested in pointing out the symbolism of being 'Superman without his powers'... good catch.

I'm not much for dream interpretation but this one has potential to be a story I like, so here goes:

You feel like you ought to be a superhero, and are just realizing that you're not (we are the all-singing, all-dancing crap of the world). You look around to see what has done this to you. You find yourself roaming the halls of memory looking for a villain, which you eventually find. At first blush, you think that your enemy is chaos/change/scofflawness, but lo! Your enemy is actually Corporate America, and it is EATING YOUR SOUL (bwa.ha.ha).

There. What do you think of that?
