This is sort of a neat meme going around. What you do is substitute your username in the below code, and post it into your journal (note this will not be effective in some non-IE browsers for some reason).

username (fixed from earlier)

And thus: triadruid

Surprised? Didn't think so.

It's because non-IE browsers don't fudge the font colours like IE does. Not that this is a bad thing, or a good thing.

But it does work for some. For instance, I see a spring green for "triadruid"

I run Firebird :)

wow, you are the first non-blue username I've seen yet.

Not that I mind blue, lol.

If this fudges the way I think it does, I should be a nice shade of blue.

kittenpants?

or not! ...hmmm.

Will "kitten" be the blue I was expecting, and "npants" be the same shade of green?

kitten
npants

Yes, and then no. Must play with this phenomenon further!

agrnmn (the original)
agreenman (expanded..hmmm)
agrnm (first six characters)
agreenmn (remove a hex letter after the firxt six)
agreenmanni (additional non-hex letters at the end)
areelman (same hex letters, different word length)
asheetman (same sequence w/ the non-hex letters)
axxeexxax (basic hex letters kept the same)
aeea (only the hex letters, but compressed)
aredman (just for fun [dropped an 'e', too])
agreenmanandcertainotherwordswithhexformletters (many sequences of hex letters)
agreenmanagreenman (doubled)
agreenmanagreenmanagreenman (tripled)
agrnmnagrnmn (original, doubled)
agrnmnagrnmnagrnmn (original, tripled)
somesequenceofletters (essentially random)
somesequenceofletterssomesequenceofletterssomesequenceofletters (random sequence, tripled)
abcdef (all hex letters)
abcdefabcdefabcdef (hex letters, tripled)
nohxlttrs (no hex letters)

So it would definitely seem to be related to the hex letters in the sequence. And somehow repeating the sequence, whatever it is, three times makes them ALL equivalent (i.e. grey). Hmmm...

I can't seem to get this one to work for me... Can't figure out what I'm doing wrong either.

If you're using IE, it should end up looking like this: chaosdruid

Oops, I screwed up the original post. Try this: chaosdruid

Non-IE?
