Well, voting was chaotic, dispersed, and generally inconclusive for our bonus round regarding [livejournal.com profile] featherynscale's DNR tattoo. But since I'm running this sideshow, I'll give out the awards here:
  • [livejournal.com profile] leiandra's "Deliciously Nibbleable Rack" and [livejournal.com profile] orcjohn's "Do Not Remove" both got three votes, but [livejournal.com profile] leiandra gets the Speed Bonus for being the first submission!
  • Queen's Prize goes to [livejournal.com profile] 8elements's "Decidedly Near Ribcage", which got K's seal of approval. :)
  • Narcissus' Self-Congratulatory Award goes to [livejournal.com profile] oreibasia who may not ever have played before, and hence not realized she wasn't supposed to vote for her own "Desires Nipple Rub". However [livejournal.com profile] arkhamrefugee agreed with her, so it's not as if the idea was wholly without merit (the man knows something about breasts, I believe). ;)
  • [livejournal.com profile] kenllama and [livejournal.com profile] celtic_elk take the Separated At Birth prize, having *both* submitted "Damn Nice Rack", just with different punctuation. Great minds think alike, or what? [livejournal.com profile] lexpendragon agreed, and voted for them, so they each get 1/2 point apiece for #4. :P
  • The Funny Yet True award goes to #71...err, 17, "Respects Needy Dyslexics" by [livejournal.com profile] lexpendragon; [livejournal.com profile] saffronhare and (unsurprisingly) [livejournal.com profile] druidevo voted for it, and [livejournal.com profile] matchgirl42 gave it two LOLs up.
  • [livejournal.com profile] zerself's entry deserves to be read in its entirety, as she put some actual thought into how to make a Do Not Resuscitate tattoo workable without violating the Princess Bride rules about perfect breasts. Her actual submission, "Do i Need a Reason?", while violating the strictest rules for Acrophobia, did collect a vote from [livejournal.com profile] matchgirl, and nearly from me.
  • Finally, [livejournal.com profile] lexpendragon deserves the You Spent Way Too Much Time Thinking About This, Didn't You? award for having one real entry, seven runners-up, and a graphic! He actually received four votes total amongst those, but divided by 8, that's not very much...
Excellently well-played, folks.

four eights of a point tie me with a Llama and an Elk. That leaves be back with the animals.

Still, I got to GIMP the rack (the one one [livejournal.com profile] featherynscale, not on the [livejournal.com profile] celtic_elk,) so I still think I'm the real winner.

Relax! As I tried to state, this round was PURELY for fun. If it had been an official' round like I used to run in my journal, I'd have been very clear that people couldn't vote for themselves (and could only vote once, and could only submit one entry, and...)

Sorry. I was having an overly sensitive morning. I actually laughed about it when I thought about it later.

I wanted to put the research somewhere...

Interesting article on the concept...

For what it's worth, there are some changes going down in resuscitation that I think will come to play with the negative tone of this article

Another grumpy article, with some interesting medical tattoo options

http://ems-news.org/index.php/2007/06/19/medical-tattoos/

Personally, if I saw a tattoo, I'd assume the person had the paperwork to back it and I'd go looking for it. However, honoring anything on the basis of a tattoo alone? Nope...can't say as that's a good idea, unfortunately.

However, the creepiest medical tattoo award still goes to this guy...

Yeah, I figured it wasn't really viable, but thanks for hunting all of that down.

Our advice? "Never die in a Red State."
