1) If you live in Missouri (or are a Democrat in Kansas), tomorrow is voting day. Go vote before work/in the morning/on your lunch hour. Whenever you do it, vote. No bitching for the next 2-8 years if you don't, kids. (Kansas Republicans caucus next Saturday; Kansas Democrats caucus tomorrow night)
2) I say to vote early in the day, because that evening is
kittenpants' birthday shindig. Dinner is at Matsu Japanese Restaurant in Westport (Westport KCMO, not Connecticut) at 6:30 or so, to give us enough time to eat before the Flogging Molly show at the Beaumont Club at 8. Word is that there are still tickets available for Flogging Molly, last I checked: $22 at the box office, $22+exorbitant fees through Ticketmaster.
Of course, if you're not going out with us, you can vote until 7. But vote. Please?
P.S. If you haven't RSVPed to
featherynscale already about dinner, please do so here so we can give Matsu a headcount. They're not a super-large restaurant...

That, and I'm not in Missouri.

Date: 2008-02-04 07:45 pm (UTC)We'll have to see what we can do about a ride for tomorrow night. Travel is complicated by my having a 4:00 meeting at the office...

Date: 2008-02-04 08:46 pm (UTC)(*) surely SF has invented the appropriate tense here, right? Sort of imperfect and future-imperfect at the same time? (I'll say it's an imperfect future if I can have my freakin' transporter beam...)

Date: 2008-02-05 09:17 pm (UTC)I suppose I could game the system, but then I would become one of the People I Despise that broke the system in the first place. I prefer to hold by my ideals, because no one else is going to hold them for me.
