I think that's related to something...

Just woke up from spending several virtual hours in a Prairie Star District meeting (I think - it was too small to be General Assembly, and Bruce W. was there). We were getting a lot done, which was sort of astonishing, but there were some quirks, like in any dream.

• It was being held in a massively sprawling compound which I got the impression was either an old Quaker/Puritan church, or built specifically to resemble one; lots of wood and plaster.
• The documents we were given were not stapled, but fused together in the corner by a sort of ceramic handle that looked like it had been baked in place (not sure how they managed that without scorching the papers).
• John Romita, Jr. was there and was stumping for a new Planned Community specifically for Muslim immigrants (it was a good thing, not a interrment camp or anything), across the street from where he used to live in Iowa City (whih is incidentally across the street from my grandparents house, too). Of course, I don't think there's room over there for 100-150 new ranch houses on cul-de-sacs, but nevermind...the idea was kind of cool.
• And I think we might have been using skateboards or scooters to get around the compound, both inside and outside of buildings.

Maybe the pork with garlic sauce at Red Dragon wasn't such a good idea...

To-do list for the evening

• Get into City Hall after hours stupidly easy, all things considered...
• Getting into my floor was much harder, since they locked the doors, but...
• Complete and verify folder labels Done

• Cut membership cards, if I'm feeling uppity okay, so it was more like "cut them while waiting for badges to print", but...

• Print business cards how about, nuke them from orbit for $1000, Bob? The color printer takes ~2 minutes/page, and that's 575 pages? I think NOT...
