My favorite of yours is either the Felix one that kittenpants colored, or the "Bitch, Please" one with Rand and the Aes Sedai at Dumai's Wells.

...but I think my personal favorite is the red-tinted Portrait. You've got such a great subtle smile, and it's a very relaxed shot.

That's pretty excellent. Because this was taken with my cheapass webcam, for the GL. What you don't see in this picture is my hands. In the actual shot, before cropping, I am giving the double-fuck-you sign. Which totally contradicts the tone of the posts I usually use it for. Which I think is Really Funny. ::grins a large evil sort of grin::

The whole thing with this picture reminds me of being in college, in my Worst Ever Course, which was called "Reading the Image". We were supposed to determine what was happening in photographs, like what the photographer was trying to say, which is a pretty cool concept, except that somehow, in this course, there were right and wrong answers. I would argue with the prof all the time that there was no way you could really know what was going on, all you could possibly do was push your own prejudices and assumptions onto the thing. I got a D in that class, for being unwilling (and unable) to make the sort of assertions the prof wanted us to make about images (like that the photographer really wanted to communicate his fear of hanging with a photograph of a little girl jumping rope in which the shadow of the rope crossed her throat). So that just adds another layer. :)

At drum corps rehearsal today, I mainly beat time for the horns to play. I started doing it while they were working on one section of a song and played the beat quietly. When they finished, the director turned to me with a "We need more cowbell!"
