The rest of today didn't really appreciably move me up the evolutionary ladder:

• Still didn't get a damn thing done on this database issue I was supposed to be wrestling with (it's a good thing my boss was out of town. On the other hand, I got to have a slightly surreal conversation with my boss' boss about the new Nintendo Wii).
• Still got out of the office late, even for my 7pm meeting
  • ...which meant the cashier was no longer present at the parking garage
    • ...which meant I had to go to the bank to get cash to get money to put in the automatic teller to retrieve my car
      • Which meant one of two things was going to happen:
        a) it would eat my $20 (smallest bill you can get from the ATM) and charge me Idiot Tax for today, or
        b) it would give me some manner of change
      • b) turned out to be the case...in quarters. $15 in quarters.
  • And I was still late to my meeting.
• Also, my wife is off at a meeting and my girlfriend is ill.

But now, I'm home, there's chicken and grits, and soon, bed.

::edit:: And my journal won't do lower-roman lists for some reason. Bastardy.
