Running, running, running...
Feb. 6th, 2006 08:05 amI slept more than 8 hours last night, which is sort of a minor miracle, but I feel like I didn't get more than a couple hours, because I spent most of the evening running through a computer game/simulation.
Unfortunately my brain never really comes up with anything terribly interesting or original. My last game-based dream involved something very like Diablo II, but for druids... this one was a lot like Counter-Strike, or at least what I understand that vein of FPS to be like. Keep in mind that I don't usually play first-person shooters, but this had the same sort of feel (can't see what's lurking outside the elevator because I can't look around the corner without walking out, etc).
Some of the details are fading already, but I know for certain there were four 'classes' (or possibly guilds) your character could be. I was in the reputedly "evil" one, Blackguards or Blackwatch or something, although my character may have been there as an infiltrator (this wasn't the point of the game however, a la Driver). My "boss" was someone very much like Captain Mal Reynolds from Firefly/Serenity; always with the sarcasm, and not too concerned about my methods of getting things done. I was unclear about the setting, as initially I thought it was medieval, like Neverwinter Nights, but then there was an elevator, and my boss gave me a very compact blaster once I proved myself by doing some "unspecified incarceration time" (his specific words). Unfortunately most of the rest is fading once I got upright...
Fairly cool game overall, though I wish I could have had more chance to rest while playing...

What I should do...
