Fascinating; I haven't felt the need to hit inanimate objects since I left my stepmother's house, I don't think.

Sorry. my friend , I hope what ever it was will leave you alone soon. If not bouncing old dishes off the back of the house can be very cathartic.

After a lowball of Glenfiddich and a Guinness last night, I felt much more human, thanks. I don't usually recommend drinking to solve your problems, but slowing my nerves/reactions down a bit seems to have been good in this case.

Also, kicking the hell out of some pixelated demons on Diablo II didn't hurt either.

I wonder if not wanting to take your frustrations out on inanimate objects lately simply amazes you, or if you are upset that you feel that way again?

The latter, actually; upset that someone has the ability to cause me to feel that way again, and upset that (what I perceived as) abuse of the consensus process led to that feeling.

And it wasn't even Gaia-related consensus, which is good I suppose. We do a pretty good job overall, all told.
