Intramural warfare

This must be what comes of technology overload... my dream involved a college campus that was suddenly at DEFCON 1. Backpack bombs, cyborg infiltrators, invisible beam weapons, virtual reality hacks, semi-secure communication lines... which all somehow came to a head when the "reality" of what was going on began to unravel after the third or fourth explosion in the same spot. Suddenly the person who had just escaped from one side and been killed on the way back, was halfway across campus and headed to class - and then the status report was that everyone and everything was back to normal. No craters, no corpses, just a normal day on campus.

Weird. But I'm definitely NOT getting an iPod.
