Odd GC-related dream
Nov. 20th, 2005 05:51 amI think I know where most of the bits of memory that caused this one come from, but still...
So there were a group of 30-50 people at a Gaia Community event, in a park. 3 groups were there; old-timers (long-time members, not physical age); partially-new folks, and completely new folks. I have no idea what the original purpose of the gathering was, but we were trying to decide what to do by voice vote. The most popular option by far was chest reconstrucion surgery for
featherynscale, who badly needed it at this point (sprung ligaments, etc)... and then a picnic, while we massaged her chest therapeutically. She was naked from the waist up during this discussion (possibly as Exhibit A?), and okay with this, which is another reason I knew it was a dream.
Someone brand-new was concerned about cost - not of the surgery, mind you, but of the rooms people were staying in while we waited for her to get done, I suppose. "The top floor of the Radisson on the Plaza is $220 a night! If just 10 of us have to stay there... think what else we could use that money for!", etc... not sure why she thought we had to stay there. This seemed very clever, so we saved the money by camping in the park instead, and saved the money to pay for
featherynscale's surgery, and the New Home Fund. At that point, it was weird enough I had to wake up.
