- What's your favorite guilty-pleasure crappy popcorn SF/F novel (eg, Forgotten Realms, Dragonlance, that sort of thing)?
e.e. "doc" smith's Skylark series probably would count if it wasn't so "classic". However, my biggest guilty-pleasure series is probably Animorphs. I was a junkie for those during my summers in college, because my hometown libraries had nearly the entire series. I could crank out one or two a day on the weekend. Granted, I also liked Manimal for the brief time it was on TV in the 80's, so that probably says something about me, too. - If you could be perfectly fluent in one modern foreign language, other than varients of Gaelic, what would it be? Why?
Italian, because then I'd have a lock on the primary Romance languages, which would be fun right up until I started blending them again (asked a question in French, I may respond in Spanish). - Assume some weird alternate universe where you and I actually met when we were both in the Manhattan/JC area. What was I like? (this would be around kindergarten/first grade for me)
Thinking back, that would be early 6th grade to me, right? I'd probably think you were a cute kid who reminded me of me for some reason, and I *might* know your brother. How much older is he than you? Assuming he didn't, I might have told on them/intervened when someone was picking on you, because I didn't like that happening to me either. - Turn about is fair play. If I weren't your sister, would you kiss me?
Probably once. More than that seems perilous (in this universe); like dangerous resonances, only moreso.
By the way, I still owe you a reply email. - Leather or silk?
Yes! Actually, I prefer wearing leather because it doesn't fatigue as often, and I'm more likely to do things that are suitable for leather than wearing silk; also, silk is very warm, and I might combust. For play purposes, however, silk as a non-clothing toy has more uses in my world.
