  1. Which character in a sci-fi or fantasy series that you've read are you most like?

Excellent question; I always identified strongly with the primary protagonist of fantasy novels I read, but then I had a bit of a messiah-complex growing up. I was convinced that the reason my home situation was so fucked up is because I was actually an alien, or a mutant, or a child of the gods, or something. If I had to pick one, it would probably be Paul or Leto II Atreides.

  2. If you by yourself could pass or repeal any city ordinance in KCMO, which would it be?

I'd have to devise something that would make the contract/payment system infalliably transparent to the public. There's so much back-room dealing, even still, that it drives me up the wall, and frequently stabs me in the back as a community-based employee.

  3. What do you usually order at a coffee bar?

I don't usually go to them, actually. But when I do, I usually get either chai or a mochaccino.

  4. Which Gaelic are you hankering to learn, Scots or Irish?

Yes. Actually, I'd prefer to learn Ancient Irish, but that seems unlikely to be either possible or practical. My SCA character is Scottish Highland, so I'm leaning that way so far, anyway. I'd like to be passably competent in either, though; remembering the orthographic differences between the two will likely be the hardest part.

  5. What is the worst brand of Scotch you've ever tried?

I have a hard enough time remembering the ones I like! However, I believe DeWars is the worst I've ever had and can remember, but I'm not sure that really counts.

Ah. Then you've managed to miss Highland Mist. I suggest you continue to manage missing it.

I think I've seen it, but been warned aforehand.

Speaking of orthographic differences, "mist" is German for "shit".

See...I just pretended I was secretly adopted.

I was totally an alien. And possibly also a robot. My youngest sister also had this as a coping strategy.

Wait, the Olsen twin had it, too?

The younger one, yeah. See, the older one, she's the "pretty one". The younger one is the "weird one", also known as the "fat one". She had some adjustment issues early on.

Of course, neither of them is as pretty, or as weird, or as fat as me, but they didn't see a lot of me in those days, so they didn't know any better. :-P
