For the record, a 'killer app(lication)' is a term for something which is so necessary/important that you're willing to change your general computing habits in order to be able to use it. Me installing Windows in order to play Diablo II is a good example.

What I'm looking for now is a music player that understands multiple Genres, specifically when encoded in Ogg-Vorbis format (since I don't think .MP3s support multiple-genres yet). And while the .ogg metadata format allows you to define a song as both Techno and Arabic, most players (all that I know of) only read the first one. I know one can create playlists that contain songs from multiple playlists, but I am more likely to want to play a certain type of metal (for instance, Speed Metal or Apocalyptic Metal) while playing a game, than want to rebuild a playlist every time I get a new CD. If the information is stored with the song file in the Genre where it belongs, then selecting what to play becomes intuitive rather than cumbersome.

Whether it's on Windows or Linux doesn't really matter, though I'd prefer if I could do it while gaming on Windows. But I'll have a use for it in both environments, I'm sure.
