May. 24th, 2005 10:28 amTried in earnest to get my (now Windows) computer to talk to the Internet this morning. Came to the conclusion that while an O/S distribution created in 2005 has drivers on board to talk to my ethernet card, an O/S created in 2000 does not. Oops.
Unfortunately I ran out of time before I could dismantle it to find out what manufacturer to download drivers from, but it's a step in the right direction, at least. And given that I have a meeting tonight and fly out tomorrow for Sacramento, it'll probably wait until I return.
