triadruid: Apollo and the Raven, c. 480 BC , Pistoxenus Painter (Default)
[personal profile] triadruid
My horoscope yesterday told me to pay attention to what my body needs. So, not having read it until I got home at 5:45pm, I promptly went to bed, and slept until 7:10am.

Of course, in fairness, I slept from 5:55am to 7:20am yesterday morning, so it all evens out. I'm still getting my 6-7 hours, but I feel a *lot* better today.

Now, having said that, some listy lemming that occurred while I was gone:
-- UNIQUE --
1. Nervous Habits?
Rubbing my nose, cracking my joints, spinning pens/pencils/etc.
2. Are you double jointed? Nope, just sort of loosely put together in places.
3. Can you roll your tongue? Yes, but I still have no idea what 'flipping' your tongue is.
4. Can you raise one eyebrow? I believe so. I affect to, in any case.
5. Can you blow spit bubbles? If I was so inclined, yes; usually at 18-month olds.
6. Can you cross your eyes? Inward, yes.
7. Tattoos? Not yet (yes, [livejournal.com profile] featherynscale, I hear you...)
8. Piercings and where? Two holes in the left ear, the one in the cartilage is healed over. However I mention it because to this day it has a dark spot in the center, so it's still noticeable.
9. Do you make your bed daily? More like monthly...

-- CLOTHES --
10. Which shoe goes on first? People care about these things? Ummm, usually right.
11. Speaking of shoes, have you ever thrown one at anyone? Any sentient being? I don't think so, no.
12. On the average, how much money do you carry in your wallet? What, are you looking for a handout? I try to keep more than $20, less than $100 on me.
13. What jewelry do you wear 24/7? Nothing currently, although whatever earring I have in tends to stay in most nights. I used to wear my stag necklace all the time before I offered it up.
14. Favorite piece of clothing? Silk boxers.

-- FOOD --
15. Do you twirl your spaghetti or cut it?
Fold, spindle, mutilate. Sometimes I twirl in polite company; and I will cut for youngsters.
16. Have you ever eaten Spam? If I have, I've blocked out the experience. I remember a can of it in our cabinets as a child though, so I suspect I have.
17. Favorite ice cream flavor? Anything with chunks of chocolate and/or fudge is a favorite. Despite it being blasphemy in my household, I don't like caramel ribbons.
18. How many cereals in your cabinet? None currently. Used to keep 1-2 as a bachelor.
19. What's your favourite beverage? Root beer, sweetened iced tea.
20. What's your favorite restaurant? No favorite. I'm a true omnivore; some day's it's McD's, some day's it's O'Dowd's.
21. Do you cook? Yes, but I'm not as good at it as my other thirds (except for breakfast). Also, my work schedule is so screwy that it's frequently easier (and cost-effective when you count spoilage) to go out. But I am the King of Breakfast in our house.

-- GROOMING --
22. How often do you brush your teeth?
Generally once a day in the evening, twice if I remember or am feeling guilty.
23. Hair drying method? If I'm really clever I'll let it dry without much toweling to keep it in manageable ringlets, but usually I towel it dry and try to manage it with leave-in conditioner. Hair dryers are anathema to my curls.
24. Have you ever colored/highlighted your hair? Nope. Considered a temp. dye black for Halloween one year but was talked out of it when told I'd be grey for a week.

-- MANNERS --
25. Do you swear?
Ruthlessly. Creatively, when I can. But I do know how to stop for polite company.
26. Do you ever spit? Yes, if I've got something nasty in my mouth.

-- WHAT'S YOUR FAVORITE --
27. Animal?
Currently, otters are probably winning. But deer, wolves, non-miniaturized dogs, non-smashface cats, and wolverines are also popular.
28. Food? See above; omnivore.
29. Month? October/November.
30. Day? Saturday.
31. Cartoon? I hafta pick? *whine* Probably Transformers.
32. Shoe Brand? They come in brands? Ummm, my Duck Head work shoes are my most comfortable...
33. Subject in school? In college? Sociology of Criminal Justice or Medieval History. In HS? Calculus II or World History.
34. What happened to Question 34? It got tired and went home.
35. Sport? Probably billiards or soccer (to play or watch, actually).
36. TV show? X-Files, but I'm not sure that counts anymore. Right now The Dead Zone and Smallville are favorites.
37. Thing to do in the spring? Walk in the woods after the thaw.
38. Thing to do in the summer? Be inside! Anything over 82 = too damn hot for me.
39. Thing to do in the fall? Be outside.
40. Thing to do in the winter? Sledding, snowball fights, etc...sensing a pattern?

-- IN AND AROUND --
41. The CD player?
I think the one in my car still has Megadeth in it.
42. Person you talk most on the phone with? My boss; she calls ~15 times a day.
43. Ever taken a cab? Many times, despite usually living in the midwest (okay, so most of them I *took* were in Boston, D.C., San Fran, and Athens, but...)
44. Do you regularly check yourself out in store windows and mirrors? Regularly, but not obsessively. My hair is too unruly for me to ignore my appearance, especially if I'm outside.
45. What colour is your bedroom? Pale green walls, pale blue carpet, black lacquer furniture, white arched ceiling.
46. Do you use an alarm clock? Even today.
47. Window seat or aisle? Aisle if I'm on a long flight or connecting flight, window if I'm not worried about getting anywhere in a hurry.

-- LA LA LAND --
48. What's your sleeping position?
On my back, on my side, on my stomach...usually all three through the course of the evening. Of course, I *used* to climb around and invert myself on the bed as a kid, so it's gotten better.
49. Even in hot weather do you use a blanket? More often recently, since [livejournal.com profile] kittenpants is addicted to her down comforter, and I don't like the ceiling fan blowing on my fur hair all night. Left to my own devices, I'll wear a sheet, if that.
50. Do you snore? I believe so, lightly.
51. Do you sleepwalk? No.
52. Do you talk in your sleep? Not every night, but yes.
53. Do you sleep with stuffed animals? Only if I'm sick.
54. How about with the light on? If I was reading in bed and forgot, otherwise I can't.
55. Do you fall asleep with the TV or radio on? I used to go to sleep with a radio on, but it drives [livejournal.com profile] kittenpants up the wall, so now only if I'm going to bed before her.
