OK. Well done. I've considered about five different responses to this, and none of them are adequate. The is the lj equivalent of standing there opening and closing your mouth as you start to say something, realize that's not what you want to say, shutting up, and then repeating the process.

Actually, from my perspective,it went a lot like this:

Me: *giggle*
Him: *Some profound statement that I couldn't hear/understand*
Me: "What?"
Him: *Same profound statement*
Me: "What?" *giggle*
Him: "Never mind, I think the therapy portion of this evening is done."
Me: "Yeah, this is where ethical problems arise."
