Observations on Stochastic Hiking
Jan. 20th, 2004 09:33 pm- Hiking with a Chaos Hound on a lead through the woods is very much like hiking with an 8-year-old boy with ADD.
- Hiking with a Chaos Hound without a lead through the woods is exactly like hiking with an 8-year-old boy with ADD.
- Chaos Hounds are faster than 8-year-olds when they see a deer, though.
- They are better about finding their way back, at least.
- No one's really sure which of us got muddier.
Overall, though, hiking through the woods and the rain and the mud on a Saturday afternoon with a dog is an excellent sanity break; if you're a surly ranger type, anyway.
If you think that's fun...
