triadruid: Apollo and the Raven, c. 480 BC , Pistoxenus Painter (Default)
Saturday morning I woke up (several times, actually) from a dream that was actually a continuation of a dream I had a month or two ago, that I think I forgot to write down.

The dream started off where the old one left off, an apocalyptic wasteland. Except the catastrophe, whatever it was, was so long ago that the zombies that resulted from it had "adapted" after a fashion to their environment, rendering them immune to most of the standard zombie-killing techniques. In the previous dream, my partner (female?) and I had discovered a way to use spring water, or holy water, or some other sort of common but unexpected thing, to destroy the zombies, and started clearing out a ruined set of dwellings dug into a cliffside (very Anasazi) of zombie-creatures. Unfortunately when it hit one of them, it had the opposite effect of making her nearly immortal: able to regenerate most wounds, almost looked human (and damn sexy, too) just with very bad skin in places...that sort of thing. I don't remember how the first dream left off, exactly, except that she was trying to stop us, possibly by killing my partner and seducing/killing me. That one ended indeterminately.

So flash forward to Saturday. )
