Ninjesque sneaking
Feb. 28th, 2004 09:21 pmOur mission was simple: acquire a dingo at all costs. We was given one hound as possible bait, but this proved optional. The layout was simple.
I could see the lord of the castle through a window, going over his papers and records for the day. The servants had all retired for the day, and the lady of the house was nowhere to be seen. Would she see us? If so, all would be lost.
We breached the perimeter and scouted the lay of the land. I was tasked with actually acquiring the pooch. The bait-and-switch hound had some small difficulty with keeping as quiet as the rest of us, but this was no great impediment. We scaled the wall and let ourselves into the back of the castle grounds. After securing the dingo and leaving the chaos hound as collateral, we retreated from the area.
However, there was the additional possibility of detection when we realized that the gate to the grounds may not have been secured. Another foray was needed, but this proved uneventful as well.
All is successful. ( The dingo has been tethered and awaits ransom. )
