"S", "O", "W", what does that spell?
...a bumper crop of memes, that's what. That's okay, though, because I like this one's emphasis on the positive!
saffronhare gave me 'S':
featherynscale laid an 'O' on me:

- Soda - Became a recent addict to caffeinated sodas, trying to cold-turkey it today. I do so love (Diet) Coke w/Lime though... :/
- Sex - Duh; if Kissing makes the first list, this has to be a no brainer. I miss college, some days...
- Snuggling - Even when it's not sex, I'm very tactile. Spooning, Snogging, Squishing... shall I go on?
- Science fiction - I never got into the S.Trek vs. S.Wars wars, Babylon 5 vs. Deep Space Nine, Asimov vs. Heinlein, etc...I'm practically omnivorous in my sci-fi tastes. Got any recommendations?
- Sadism - I'd rather give pain that receive it, even in a friendly, consensual context. Not a big kink of mine, but definitely a kink...
- Spider-Man - probably my favorite superhero, growing up. Geeky, lonely kid with glasses becomes clever sciencehero/superhero - go &*%$&& figure, right?
- Stones - I'm a big fan of rocks... gemstones, polished river rock, sandstone buildings, granite outcroppings... I'll hike half an hour some days just to lie down on some boulders for fifteen minutes. And I love rockclimbing, but that doesn't start with S...
- Sarcasm - A lot of my sense of humor is tied up in puns, witty banter, and quick replies. Sometimes it hurts (see #5, above). I once gave a friend a headache halfway across the country just from something I said online...
- Sanctuary - the band, in this case. I really need to get some Nevermore, as I'm a big fan of Warrel Dane's absurd vocal range.
- Sociology - Eventually this was my major at University, after two false starts, and I never looked back. I like looking at the behaviors o group dynamics and cultural groups... is it any surprise that the Foundation series' Psychohistory fascinates me?
- Spelling - Not the magical kind, the one that makes copy editors happy. I was in a couple spelling bees as a kid, and most of my spelling errors these days come from typing too fast, not from actually not knowing the correct spelling of a word. Although sometimes lately I have to pause on differences in British/American orthography..

- Omelettes - I'm the "breakfast cook" in our house, and I love making omelettes out of unlikely materials (i.e. whatever I find)
- Openness - I'm a big fan of "honesty even if it hurts", which can definitely get me in trouble... some days I talk too much.
- Open-Source Software - It's like free/shareware, but maintained... brilliant! I wish there was better support/understanding for the model, as a lot of people assume "You get what you pay for."
- Omens - trying to pay more attention to those 'coincidences' that happen, especially since gaining a patron who specializes in oracular divination... still hard though, because...
- Obliviousness - A favorite thing? Well, it must be since I practice it so often, right?!? The Clue-by-Four sometimes doesn't suffice for me, the Clue-by-Six being a stronger tool. Or magnesium flares. Or stripping (which reminds me of another 'S')...
- Ownership - I hate debt. I dislike renting and owing payments on things. It doesn't always stop me, but I'd much rather own X things outright than have 3X on layaway and payment plans...
- Organic Farming - I'll probably never be a vegan or have zero net environmental impact in my lifestyle, but that's no reason not to be reasonable and responsible in our practices for growing foodstuffs.
- Ostensible Reasoning - Okay, this one's a cheat, as no one has given me the letter "P" yet, for "Pretext". I'm a big fan of pretexts, in the sense of tricking yourself into doing something you wanted to do anyway but couldn't grant yourself permission for. For instance, I could have made my own lists of things I liked, but this meme provided an external justification for spending my time on such an exercise.

- Wine - spending some time lately learning what I like and what I don't, but I generally like more than I don't.
- Whiskey - Scotch probably should have gone under 'S' above, but we'll collect the booze in this one; the peatier, smokier, and/or stronger, the better I like it. Definite preferences here!
- Women - while I'm at least somewhat bisexual, I definitely have a preference when it comes to gendered partners...
- Willpower - Sometimes I feel like I have a lot, sometimes I think I have practically none. But it's always important to me to know where I stand with regards to this...
- Whizbang - I like technology! I don't always buy/get the newest stuff out there, for a variety of reasons, but I like to hear about what's going no...
- Watching Things - Probably it's my introvert side, but I love people-watching, crowd-watching, sitting and observing nature... I can get lost in this sort of thing all too easy. Even on the Internet sometimes, the trainwrecks are impossible to tear my eyes away from.

Scaling rockwalls, maybe?
